K-Rock Radio ran a ‘Kick for Cash’ promotion at Skilled Stadium Geelong

prior to a Geelong Cats AFL game. Giving 3 lucky listeners the chance to win $25,000 cash!

Objective

  • To increase their listening audience by offering a fun promotion
    with a chance to win a major prize

Mechanics

The ‘Kick for Cash’ radio promotion was publicised on the station and supporting advertising mediums.

For two weeks (across the work day) listeners where given the chance to phone in and to register for their chance to participate in the Kick for Cash contest.

3 listeners were selected as the finalists.

On Saturday prior to the start of a AFL game, the finalists met at Skilled Stadium to have their kick and possibly win $25,000.

Outcome

It was a great promotion that attracted a huge amount of interest in Geelong and surrounding areas.

It was dream come true for the 3 finalists to see if they could kick the AFL ball into the target and win the $25,000.

The promotion was within our budget and proved to be a winner!
